Profile Overview
George is the head of the Mining, Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution departments. A graduate of the University of Zimbabwe, George joined the firm in 2000 and is the senior partner. He has handled several mining and commercial transactions, including cross border M&A transactions. He has acted as local counsel in various finance and infrastructure projects in Zimbabwe and is also an arbitrator with the Commercial Arbitration Centre in Zimbabwe. George has a special interest in Environmental law and he is a co‐founder of the Zimbabwe Environmental Law Organisation [ZELO], a public interest organization promoting environmental justice in Zimbabwe, which he currently chairs. He holds a diploma in International Environmental Law from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and is a certified ESG expert. George sits on the board of several companies and non‐governmental organisations.
