Profile Overview
Rudo graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2010 with a University Book Prize and the Law Society of Zimbabwe Book Prize for her outstanding academic achievements. In June 2012, she was awarded the Shared Cambridge-Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to read for a Master in Law with the University of Cambridge (UK) where she focused on International investment dispute resolution and trade. In 2014, Rudo joined Scanlen & Holderness and was admitted to partnership in January 2019. Relevant experience Rudo has developed an extensive corporate rescue practice in which she has advised directors and management on protecting the interests of the company during rescue proceedings, representing corporates when facing rescue lawsuits and advisory services at the termination of rescue proceedings and implementation of the corporate rescue plan. Has been involved as an attorney in numerous and complex arbitration proceedings involving construction, intellectual property and labour law. A labour law expert specializing in advising companies on all employment law related matters including: Regulatory compliance Drafting contracts Internal disciplinary proceedings and superior courts litigation Collective job action law Negotiations and arbitration related to collective bargaining agreements Retrenchment and termination laws Accomplished in media and broadcasting laws having represented clients in local and international disputes involving public service broadcasting, data protection, licensing and pre-broadcast content reviews. Expertise in insurance law with an in-depth knowledge of the insurance sector Broad experience in tax litigation before the fiscal court General civil litigation in all superior courts in Zimbabwe
